| Background: |
I was born to play music. As a
young boy I took up piano for a short while then violin (I wanted to
fiddle like Charlie Daniels). I played trumpet and baritone in High
School. While I was attending college, I started a band with some of my
High School buddies including my
current drummer Tim White. It was at that point that I took up learning
the bass guitar (on a borrowed bass from Tim). I have discovered a
talent to write all types of songs even for genres I've never played.
Tim once dubbed me "The Chorus King" because of my ability to
write catchy choruses. Over time our styles changed... influences changed...lives changed...and the original band went their separate ways. Tim and I though we have different musical writing styles have become musical "soul mates". We both continued to play through many phases of new bands that followed. At the time we were mostly playing music in the hard rock genre. In August of 2001 the biggest band to date, Lost King, split up and I was tired of the band drama and ready for a break from playing. The next year and a half passed with me playing no music at all. I did not even enjoy listening to music on the radio. In early 2003 Tim and I formed a new band soon to be known as Shü. The members of Shü have changed from the original band, but the love of playing good rock music and giving a hell of a show are still there. Shü's music is very vocal oriented. It takes a very talented singer to pull off the wide variety of tunes that we do. Over the years I have been blessed to play with some great musicians and that continues today. I thank all of those that have helped pave the way for me to be where I am today musically. That being said, There are many people to Rock and much more music to be written! Shü is the start of something great!!! |

main bands that I have played in. I have been involved in many a musical
